We want you to understand how this website uses information and how you may share its teaching materials.
Your privacy
Contact messages
When you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. The message also includes your IP address and browser information to help identify unwanted or abusive submissions. We use this information to respond to you, handle ministry inquiries, and protect the website.
Please include only information needed for your inquiry. Sending a testimony does not make it public; we will ask before publishing your identifying details or personal testimony.
Listening statistics and browser storage
The website records basic listening activity, including audio starts, engaged listens, completions, and MP3-link clicks. Records can include the lesson, date and time, playback position and duration, page path, referring website’s domain, browser language, time zone, screen dimensions, approximate country when supplied by our hosting or security service, and a random session identifier.
We use these statistics to understand how the lessons are used and to improve the ministry’s resources. Our listening-event records do not contain your name, email address, precise location, or raw IP address. Normal hosting and security logs may contain IP addresses separately.
The random listening identifier is kept in your browser’s session storage, which normally lasts for the tab’s session. Our listening statistics do not use advertising cookies. Clearing browser storage removes its local identifier; it does not delete records already received by the server.
Hosting, email, spam protection, and other services
Hosting, email, and security providers process information as needed to deliver and protect the website and its messages. Their technical logs may include IP addresses, request times, page addresses, and browser details. Depending on the provider, information may be processed outside your province or country.
The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. When enabled, Cloudflare processes technical browser and network information under its Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Service providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
If you follow an external link or use a podcast app, that provider’s privacy practices apply to your use of its service. Adding an RSS feed to your podcast app does not give us your email address.
Use, retention, and your choices
We do not sell or rent contact details or listening records, or use them for advertising. We share information only with providers helping operate the ministry’s website and correspondence, with your permission, or when required by law.
Contact messages are held in our email system, and listening records are held in the website’s statistics log until they are deleted. The website does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule. We use these records for correspondence, ministry reporting, security, and related administration; copies may remain in provider backups until those backups are replaced.
You may contact us with a privacy concern or a request to access, correct, or delete information relating to you. We may need enough information to locate the records you mean, and some records may need to be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons. If these practices change, we will update this page.
Sharing permissions
Unless a particular item states otherwise, the following permission applies to original Discovering Jesus lessons and study materials. Copyright remains with the respective rights holders.
Personal, church, and small-group use
You may listen to and download the lessons, share links to them, and share unmodified copies without charge for personal study, church teaching, or small-group discussion. Please credit Discovering Jesus and the named speaker or author, retain existing notices, and include a link to the original lesson or this website wherever practical.
Brief excerpts for noncommercial teaching or discussion are welcome with attribution, provided they preserve the meaning and context of the original teaching.
Other uses
Please request permission before selling or including materials in a paid product, publishing an adapted or rebranded version, or using the ministry’s name or artwork to suggest an endorsement. For a use not covered above, contact us with the lesson and your intended use.
Scripture quotations, images, and third-party materials
Bible translations, photographs, illustrations, music, and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ permissions and the credits or licence terms shown with them. Our permission for original teaching does not grant additional rights to those materials. Follow any item-specific notice, and obtain permission from its rights holder when needed.
These permissions do not limit uses already allowed by applicable law.
